Autumn Colors

The ferns are one of my favorite plants in the woods, love them in the spring, summer and fall.

It has quickly become Autumn, leaves are turning, and that fresh crispness of the cool mornings.  So much to enjoy out in the woods at this time of the year.  Hurry and get out there, the leaves will be down in about 4 weeks, so get out and enjoy as much as you can.

Some areas have a lot of color, especially if the Maple trees are popping. Here just some yellow on the Hickory trees.

The red of the sumac is getting to its prime right now, and the dogwoods are looking good also.
