The Cranefly Orchid (Tipularia Nuttall) is in bloom now. I haven't found it on the Ozark Trail yet, if you see it let me know. It might be hot out there on the trail, but if you want to see the summer blooming orchids it's time to hit the trail. Sure, you'll probably get ticks and chiggers, but it's the only time to see Adam-and-Eve, rattlesnake and Ladies tresses orchids.
