Snow hike on the Current River Section of the Ozark Trail

Back in December 2002 when I first started work on the Ozark Trail Guidebook I headed down to Eminence Missouri area to meet up with three strangers to hike on the Current River Section.  We set out on quite the adventure that day in several inches of snow.  The day was one of those "epic" hikes out on the Ozark Trail that makes memories for a lifetime, beautiful scenery, the sounds of crunching snow underfoot. Beautiful to be out in the snow with friends. Hi Scott and Bill, miss hiking with you guys.

Fall Colors along the Ozark Trail

These two photos are from a couple of years ago along the base of the bluffs along the Courtois Creek in the Huzzah Conservation area. This is one of the prettiest areas in the Fall. The red leaves of the numerous dogwood trees in this area just light up the scenery. Enjoy!

Campfires are Good!
