Stegall Mountain Collared Lizards

I got a great email and pictures from Maggie and Lindsey of Columbia, Missouri, they hiked on the Current River Section of the OT last week, "The lizards were all over the top of Stegall mountain.  It was hilarious because people had stacked rocks to mark the way of the trail, and there was a lizard perched on top of just about every one of those piles of rocks.  Some of them were so colorful and beautiful!  I've never seen them before.  I did look them up on the internet today and identified them as the Eastern Collared Lizard, so good to see that I got that one right".

Glad you all enjoyed your trip on the Ozark Trail, and thanks for the email, we love to hear from people who are out enjoying the trail and our guidebooks.
