Walking Sticks are interesting creatures. This one has two large black bands on its back, I haven't noticed this before on a walking stick. Did you know that as a walking stick grows that it will shed (molt) its skin five or six times. An informative insect guide is published by St. Martin's Press, a Golden Guide, Insects.
