The Blackberry Lilly is an old-time Ozark garden favorite.  These flowers probably came from Asia, but even though they are not a native of Missouri they are one of my favorites, because they can be seen along the old homestead sites.  It's a plant that I have added to my garden, and one that I enjoy watching the flowers pop open in the mornings and then at the end of the day seeing the twisted up flower.
 This is what the seed pod looks like, blackberries.
