Back in December 2002 when I first started work on the Ozark Trail Guidebook I headed down to Eminence Missouri area to meet up with three strangers to hike on the Current River Section.  We set out on quite the adventure that day in several inches of snow.  The day was one of those "epic" hikes out on the Ozark Trail that makes memories for a lifetime, beautiful scenery, the sounds of crunching snow underfoot. Beautiful to be out in the snow with friends. Hi Scott and Bill, miss hiking with you guys.

  1. My first Ozark Trail hike was Taum Sauk to Johnson's Shut-Ins in 1998. It snowed during the hike, and 260 miles later it still remains one of my most epic hikes.
